Paul brought the gospel to Lystra on his First Missionary Journey (see Acts 14:6-23) at the price of strong persecution. On his visit at the beginning of his Second Journey, Paul recruited Timothy to be his coworker (see Acts 16:1-3). Paul probably visited Lystra again at the beginning of his Third Missionary Journey (Acts 19:1).
